Normally, Woodrow Wilson Museum Curator Andrew Phillips would have a pair of gloves on, handling a delicate artifact that dates back decades or even centuries. 

This time, he was holding items he didn’t expect to sit in the showcase — broken video game controllers, disposable cameras, family photos and face masks.

Gloves.

The new exhibit is a homage to the trials and struggles of Stauntonians during the COVID-19 pandemic, and it’s unlike anything that the museum has ever done before.
