As one of America’s favorite pastimes, the sport of baseball is well known for its role in shaping society and culture, including in Latino communities across the United States.

And for as long as the game has left its mark on those communities, Latino and Latina ball players have been stepping up to the plate and leaving their mark on the game.

A new bilingual exhibit at El Pueblo History Museum called “¡Pleibol! In the Barrios and the Big Leagues / En los barrios y las grandes ligas,” celebrates that fact.
