A new exhibition at the Cincinnati Art Museum features works of art famous not only for its artists, but also for the story and history that brought them together.
The art museum’s newest exhibit, “Paintings, Politics and the Monuments Men: The Berlin Masterpieces in America,” tells the story of the famed “Monuments Men” who recovered stolen art after World War II and toured the works across the U.S.
Their work during World War II was the inspiration for the 2014 movie “The Monuments Men,” starring George Clooney, Matt Damon and Bill Murray.
