After shutting its doors more than 14 months ago, the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh is now ready to welcome kids and their families back inside starting on June 12, and it hopes to do so with the debut of a new interactive exhibit made in collaboration with Pixar Animation Studios.

The Emotions at Play with Pixar’s “Inside Out” — the 2015 animated children’s film — exhibit aims to help children better understand the role that emotions, memory and imagination play throughout everyday life. The hands-on and digital elements of the exhibit will touch on the five emotions highlighted in the film, which include joy, sadness, anger, disgust and fear.
