Annapolis Maritime Museum
The Annapolis Maritime Museum reopened Friday with a new exhibit, Our Changing Waterfront. Developed at a cost of nearly $1 million, the exhibit is divided into three sections: Bay Health, Oyster Economy and History, and Annapolis Waters.
It features two 500-gallon aquariums that compare the environmental quality of the Chesapeake Bay today with the 17th century, an interactive “book” that explores the watershed, a touch screen table game that features oyster harvesting methods and a virtual reality boat where visitors can join a race mid-stream.
