A new online exhibition, “Hindsight 2020: Art of This Moment,” will feature work from creative talents of all ages and skill levels in the Tampa Bay area.

Yes, that could mean you, too.

“Hindsight 2020” is all about this historically turbulent year, the highs and lows, from the pandemic to the fight for social justice.

“We have no idea what’s going to come in, but that’s the exciting thing about it,” says Dr. Alex Rich, the Polk Museum of Art‘s executive director and chief curator. “Everyone looks at the world in a different way.”

Two of the first entries included a mixed-media portrait of George Floyd and an abstract painting inspired by quarantine isolation.

There are no real rules to the exhibition, although pieces should relate to 2020 and be recently created.

Various mediums can include painting, photography, even sculpture. However, work will be displayed online via hi-res photos.

The deadline for submissions is Aug. 31.

There will be a selection process, although all voices are being encouraged.

Chosen pieces will be revealed when the exhibition opens Oct. 3.
