A new exhibit at Fort Hays State University’s Sternberg Museum of Natural History aims to bring the prehistoric to life.

“Age of the Dinosaur,” a multifaceted interactive display created by Kokoro Exhibits, opened at the museum May 15, and according to Sternberg’s marketing and public relations coordinator Rachel Unruh, it has been a roaring good time for children and adults alike.

“I know we’ve had a lot of moms come in, and a lot of the kids have been super excited,” Unruh said. “Sometimes I can hear from my office a lot of kids laughing and screaming — good screams, not scary Jurassic Park screams. … And then we’ve also had a few school groups come in as they’re finishing up the school year. Teachers are wanting something exciting for their classes to do.”
